A big worry for most MSPs when outsourcing any services, be it NOC, SOC or 24/7 helpdesk is that loss of personal service. The last thing you want is for your clients to feel like just another number. The secret is always in the onboarding process and regular strategic touch points, with the MSP and provider at all costs. There must never be any cancelled catch-up or review meetings, and both sides need to be committed to a process of continuous improvement and partnership.

Don't rush to outsource until you've heard about some of the obstacles you're going to come across, it's not easy! However it can be very rewarding and valuable when you get it right.
